Welcome to the Pirates Swim Club, one of Barbados’ premier multi-level competitive and recreational swim clubs for swimmers ages 6 and up. The Club is a member of Barbados Aquatic Sports Association (“BASA”).

Pirates is a non-profit organization. It is financed primarily through membership fees, corporate sponsorship, and fundraising.

Our coaches work tirelessly to instill Pirates’ motto of “Allowing each swimmer to be the best that he/she can be” into their programs.

We can boast to have  Barbados’ sole Olympic finalist in swimming, Leah Martindale, and many past and present members having successful records at various swimming events on the island, within the Caribbean and internationally.

Our management is composed of an elected executive and management team, comprised of parent volunteers.

A Technical Committee of our coaches and executive member(s) manage the development and execution of robust swim programs to ensure high quality instructional standards and proper swim technique and ensure our swimmers progress through the swim groups at an appropriate pace.
